Can you Guess the Famous Writer?

UPDATE: A Traveler’s Library Blog Readers are apparently smarter than all my Twitter and Facebook followers combined. A) they weren’t afraid to guess. B) RAY, a new reader, got the right answer. Congratulations, RAY!!

I will be the chauffeur for MARTIN CRUZ SMITH at the Tucson Festival of Books this coming weekend (March 11-13, 2011).  And honest, it is just a coincidence that I share a name with a main character in his latest Book, Three Stations. Why don’t you come and see him and the couple hundred other authors?

I mentioned a couple of days ago that I’m driving a Famous Writer to and from the Tucson Festival of Books.  Just for fun, running a contest on my Twitter and Facebook accounts, but so far no one has been brave enough to guess. Are you smarter than the Twitter and Facebook folks?

Here are the one-a-day clues so far:

Clue #1: He writes mysteries set in a foreign land.

Clue #2: He writes about Russia before and after democratization.

Clue #3: He lives in California, but was born on the other side of the country.

Clue #4: His mother was a Pueblo Indian.

  1. Congratulations to Ray!!!

Sorry I got to this so late- not sure why the blog wasn’t showing up on my blog reader- I’m going to check my settings as I think I’m a couple updates behind now 🙁

  2. Ok ok, Laura already guessed Skippy Jon Jones (my son would have said the same). Thinking…-r
