Saturday, June 11 is the last chance to win a copy of this book. I am the co-author with Charnell Havens, and I will immodestly state that this is a beautiful book that tells a fascinating story of the life and work of a Navajo Artist who lived from 1917 to 1956.
The book includes more than 260 illustrations, many full color reproductions of paintings never seen in public before.
The artist’s life tells a story of a boy given up by his mother after his father died, a child taken away to a boarding school far from his native reservation, many successes in the art world, and many romances, and finally a long struggle against alcoholism.
Wandering Educators reviewed the book and interviewed Charnell and me and they donated this book to give away. Be sure to check the interview, because your comment there enters you in the contest, also.
There are three ways to enter to win the random drawing.
