What is a Travel Book?

ANNOUNCEMENT: April 29, 2010. Sorry, I have just learned that Jess Haberman’s blog no longer exists, taking my timeless words with it!

I am asking my readers to take a little journey today over to Jess Haberman’s blog about books and publishing. There you will find me holding forth about my favorite topic of books and travel at her blog called Book Publishing. Where do you find travel books in the store? Who edits them? What IS a travel book?

Come back tomorrow for a review of what Rolf Potts and Tom Miller had to say about travel writing at the Tucson Festival of Books this past weekend.

And if you are looking for a way to celebrate St. Patrick’s day tomorrow, here’s some reading matter on the Blasket Islands (at Info Ireland), a tour of Irish pubs, and an old book about the Beara peninsula.
