It is time to catch up with some announcements.
New Look at A Traveler’s Library
Really, you DO shop at Amazon, and unless you already are supporting another site by buying through them, please come here and click on my Amazon ads.
You may not have realized that what you buy does not have to be the object mentioned in my ads in order for A Traveler’s Library To comment and to make a few pennies. So, win-win. It doesn’t cost you anything to click through here instead of going directly to Amazon, and it helps keep the Library in business.
Being not at all a techie, I was very proud to be able to get a favicon working on my site. That’s the pretty little globe you see beside the url in your address bar. Big thanks to Thiago at favicon.cc for the image
New Site Discovery–ALL About Books
I just added another site to my “Favorite Site” page–Private Library.
It is worth a visit to see the lovely travel books they picture in their recent four-part series about travel literature.
If you love books, and paper and ink, and printing presses, and libraries and publishing companies–you’ll love this site. While their suggestions for building a library are great–I need some suggestions on taming the proliferation of books on my shelves that surely must be doing unspeakable things in the dark of night in order to be breeding so rapidly.
New Series of Articles
I am excited about a new series that launches here on Monday. I have invited some travel writers and wanderers to talk about the book they read or movie they saw that made them say “I gotta go there.” Two weeks from Monday, Julie Sturgeon who writes the very funny Get Outta Here blog and hosts a travel agency site Curing Cold Feet, will talk about a movie that led to some extraordinary experiences. We have some other great stories coming up, but I don’t want to let all the cats out of the bag at once. You’re gonna love these cats.
