Au Revoir–Briefly

You’re busy. I’m busy.  Let’s take a little break.

A Traveler’s Library will be closed until January 5, when we announce the winner of the Passports With Purpose Monteleone Hotel stay in New Orleans and the winner of the Periscope Book Light and copy of Mistress of the Sun.

  • I’m planning to drop in for a little New Year’s visit to Dorothy Parker on December 30, if my hard drive doesn’t die before I get it written. The moaning and groaning coming from the computer right now sounds like it’s coming through a thin partition between rooms at the Hideaway Motel.
  • Get ready for a REALLY BIG Giveaway to celebrate A Traveler’s Library’s First Birthday in January. (See the first post ever.)
  • I have an  exciting project planned for next year.  All I’ll say for now is that we’re going on a road trip in a big way, and a good friend of A Traveler’s Library is coming along for the ride.
  • Publishers have already sent me some promising looking travel literature to tell you about next year, and I’m lining up some travel writer interviews.
  • In the new year, I’ll continue Travel Tuesday, with a look at places I have traveled to.
  • France on Friday may change to a different country–who knows? Maybe even one that does not start with “F”.  Do you have a country you would like me to concentrate on?
  • While I’m asking advice–what would you like to see in a newsletter, should A Traveler’s Library get ambitious enough to send one out in 2010?

If you want to contact me, I’ll still be reading and responding to e-mails, so use the usual address: vmb at atravelerslibrary dot com or leave your comments here.

Meanwhile–Have a very Merry whatever you are celebrating at the end of the year, and a great kick off for the New year!

    1. Sorry, you’ll have to wait until January 18 to visit Dorothy Parker’s New York. But I am happy to inform you that the hard drive and new memory arrived in the mail today, so my computer will not die for a while yet.

    1. Hi Donna:
Yep, I’m back here behind the scenes, getting a new hard drive and more memory, and making up my reading list and mapping out the New Year. Did you know that January will also be Birthday month here at A Traveler’s Library, with bunches of wonderful door prizes?
